President’s Message

I am blessed to have spent nearly 4 decades in the Life Safety and Security Industry. In all that time, I have been fortunate to learn from and be challenged by some of the brightest minds in the industry, and have been able to be a hands-on leader of exceptional teams serving great clients. In all that time, I can honestly say we have never been better positioned to serve our clients and meet disparate and ever-changing needs through our consultancy and our complete range of solutions. Our ability to blend emerging technologies with advanced remote services and a deep understanding of our clients has positioned us to be a true Strategic Resource.

Over 85% of our account base is repeat or multiple site customers, 75% of which have more than one type of system with us, and fully 97.4% who have ongoing service of some kind with AST. All this goes to speak to our focus on and commitment to our Clients. We succeed only if you do, so that is the first goal of each day here, help you meet your needs.

I am very blessed to lead such a great group of teammates in serving such a loyal and successful group of clients to meet their needs in the critical world of Life Safety and Security. Personally, I spend all the time I can in the details of that effort every day, and we as a team will not waiver on that commitment.

Central Station Monitoring

Our UL Central Station Service covers you and your facility or home when you cannot. We utilize state of the art signal and information systems for alarm and video signals and the highest level of operator training in the industry. The CS is the final component in your comprehensive Life Safety and Security plan.



Management Team

Robert Ricucci Jr.

President

Robert “Bob” Ricucci has had his professional hands in many ventures and divergent paths in the past 30 years. Bob graduated top of his class from the prestigious University of the Pacific Eberhardt Business School and from there immediately set out on making his mark in the business world. He managed three successful businesses in the following few years before moving to Los Angeles.

In Southern California, Bob rose rapidly through the ranks of three businesses in the next 14 years until becoming the CEO of Protection Services Industries, an $80MM company. During his tenure as CEO, Bob built a reputation across the country as an industry and business expert, business author and speaker, and leader who can get results and build successful organizations, wealth, and stand-out projects. Over the years, these experiences in operating, building, and marketing these businesses, buying and selling companies, and expertly generating consistently successful results have been invaluable in allowing Bob to hone his skills and instincts, all in service of his clientele.

In 2005, Bob has most founded and serves as CEO for Advanced Security Technologies, one of the fastest growing and most successful new companies in a $12 Billion industry. AST continues to grow and thrive today. AST focuses on their clients, building lifetime relationships providing TOTAL Solutions in Life Safety and Security. Additionally, by virtue of experienced gained in 4 decades in the industry, Bob speaks often at Industry functions and serves the industry in several capacities, in order to bring the best and more cost effective solutions to AST Clients. His role is to assure the very best for AST clients, and that is JOB ONE for the company and its teammates.

Robert Ricucci Sr.

Vice President

After achieving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University, as well as playing Football for the Spartans, Bob pursued an M.SC in Industrial Psychology. This led to management positions in several fields of endeavor. After selling his Security/Alarm Company in 1997, his career took an unusual turn in which he became Principal of Brookside Christian High School in Stockton, CA. This was a very rewarding chapter in his life in which he mentored many young students, as well as creating a very successful Football Program. In 2001 Bob reunited with his son, Bob Jr. at Protection Service Industries as Manager of a Region which led the Company in sales.

In 2005, a lifelong dream was fulfilled in the founding of AST, with Bob Jr. as President and CEO, and Bob Sr. as Vice President. Bob Sr. continues to operate in Northern California for the Company, leading the sales and strategic endeavors.

Nathan Gossett

Operations Manager

Nathan Gossett is a US Navy Veteran, with A.S. Degree in Computer Science. Meeting and exceeding customer needs in the security industry since 2003. Started as a wire puller, though the ranks to now Operations Manager, working with Fire, Intrusion, Access Control and Camera Surveillance Systems. Enjoys working with Fire and Access control systems, and finding solutions to difficult projects. Nathan has worked on and managed systems of all types and sizes, from the new small business to the distributions chains with hundreds of system devices, all with an excellent track record and a sharp focus on delighting the customer. He now leads the AST Operations team with that same high standard of excellence.

Heather Lillywhite

Office Manager

Heather Lillywhite celebrated 10 years with AST in October of 2019, where she has been a key member of the team and a cornerstone in our efforts to bring the very best in value and quality performance to our clientele. After an impressive career for years in various roles in the business environment, including Marketing and Business development, Operations, and Human Resources, among others, Heather joined AST in 2009. Over that time, she has assumed more and more responsibility and more critical roles in the AST business. She now serves as Office Manager and Coordinator overseeing all Financial, Scheduling, and Customer Relation activities. Heather continues to bring tremendous effort, quality and consistent and reliable excellence to AST on behalf of our clients, and she leads her team.
